In men, approximately seven (7) mg of testosterone is produced each day. When released into the bloodstream, most of this tiny amount of TEST becomes bound to a biochemical called sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). SHBG dictates the amount of "free testosterone” circulating in the body. The more SHBG that exists in the body, the more bound testosterone we have in circulation.  The bad news is, bound testosterone does not promote anabolic activity, as it cannot bind to steroid receptors to initiate the anabolic process (like “free testosterone” can)
